This sweetheart was found with her kittens in someone's yard. They let her raise her kittens, but brought her to the shelter when they became concerned something was wrong with her babies. The night after Cleo arrived at the shelter, her babies died. Cleo was transferred to rescue so she could get some attention, because staff quickly noticed how sweet she was. After she came to Cat Rescue, it was discovered that Cleo tested positive for Feline Leukemia. She is healthy, but because of her situation, should be an only cat, or live with another Leukemia positive cat. Barely over one year old, Cleo has no knowledge of the disease she carries, so it doesn't affect her outlook on life - she's a sweet, happy girl who absolutely loves being picked up and held like a baby. Soft, fuzzy places like rugs and cat beds are seen as great opportunities to stretch and demonstrate how limber she is. Sunny spots are also known as "prime nap locations". Cleo is enjoying life in her foster home (complete with cat tree!), but would love even more to have a home of her own. Contact jlauter1@cox.net
